Preventing Identity Theft Workshop

The Hot and Energetic Universe explores high energy astrophysics. You will be immersed in the most stunning sights in our universe. You will explore the hot and violent interactions of our galaxy including supernovae, supermassive black holes, neutron stars and more.


Doors open 15 minutes before the scheduled showtime. Due to the unusual lighting conditions in the planetarium, no one is allowed to enter once the show has started. Please come early.

Crochet Sleeping Mats for the Homeless

Bring your plastic grocery bags to the library and turn them into a sleeping mat for the homeless. Wayne Abadie will show you how to make "plarn" (plastic yarn) and use simple crochet to make a mat. Drop your mat off at the library for distribution when you’re finished. We’ll provide bags, or you can bring bags from home. Tweens and parents welcome, too!

Teen Handmade Hula Hoop Decorating
